Local shops

Every hockey store we have verified in the Northeast — with what each one actually offers, how far it is, and the phone number. Enter your ZIP at the top of the page to sort by distance.

What to ask when you call

  1. "Do you do skate fittings, and do I need an appointment?" Start here — it shapes everything else.
  2. "My kid is new. Can you size them so I know what I'm shopping for?" Even if you buy elsewhere, knowing the size ends the guessing.
  3. "Do you carry last year's models or open-box?" Frequently the same gear, meaningfully cheaper, and it rarely makes it onto a website.
  4. "Do you take trade-ins, or sell used gear on consignment?" The answer to outgrown equipment, in both directions.
  5. "What does a sharpening cost, and how often for a beginner?" Budget the season, not just the purchase.

How this directory is built

Every store on this page was checked one at a time against the store's own website, or against a manufacturer's authorised-dealer directory where the store has no site. Each listing records the source we used and the date we checked it — open Check availability on any store to see both.

Where we could not confirm an address or phone number, the listing says "call before you drive" instead of presenting a shaky record as a checked one. Where a store publishes no list of services, we leave the services blank rather than assuming. That is why the service filters return fewer stores than actually offer those services: plenty of shops sharpen skates without saying so online.

Distances are straight-line from the centre of your ZIP code, not driving distance, and 15 of our listings are pinned to the middle of their own ZIP rather than the building. Those are marked approx area. Treat every distance as a rough sort, not a route.

Are you a shop?

If you run a pro shop and want your listing corrected or expanded — especially fittings, trade-in programmes and learn-to-play support — we want to hear from you. Listings are free and we don't sell placement. Get in touch →

Honest scope: we do not show live local inventory, and no site truthfully can — no hockey retailer publishes a public real-time stock feed. Check availability gives you the phone number and the questions to ask, not a stock count we invented. Our directory currently covers nine Northeast states; if your ZIP returns nothing, the gap is real and we would rather say so.
